Remembering Jerry Lou Ellis
Our founder and long time member Jerry Lou Ellis passed away November 2020.
Space City Knitters was formed in 1972 out of Jerry and Melvin’s shop, The Stitching Post. It was an honor to know them and to be able to share with all of you, thanks to what they started. They took such good care of us and took such pride in their community activities with the city of Webster. Always with a smile and a kind word. Always serving others. Jerry had a musical laugh. She and Melvin were so tender with one another. It was a joy to see them together.
